We at NAF are continually seeking to improve this fansite, and recognize the need for more frequent reviews of anime figure releases. Therefore, we are putting out this help wanted sign to add an anime figure reviewer. The position is unpaid, but you get to keep any figure review sample sent to you. The applicant for this position should be at least 18 years of age, with a U.S. mailing address (because figures weigh quite a bit, and shipping outside the U.S. will be quite expensive). We expect to send at least one figure per month to the staff reviewer. The review should be submitted to us within ten days of receipt of the figure sample. If you are interested in applying for this position, and meet the 2 criteria (age and address), please send the following in your application: a) an email with your name and U.S. mailing address; b) the statement "I certify that I am at least 18 years of age" in the email; c) an attachment of a sample figure review in rtf format; and d) attachment of photo(s) accompanying the review. The application should include "NAF Staff Reviewer Application" in the subject, and be emailed to: webmasterATnutsforanimefigureDOTcom. The sample review should follow the NAF Submissions guidelines. All submissions become the property of NAF. If you are not chosen to be a staff reviewer, your sample review may still be published and you will be credited as a NAF contributor. We will review each application carefully, and examine the review sample under these criteria: a) your ability to write generally; b) your analysis of the figure; and c) the quality of your photos and your integration of such into the review. Your review sample will be graded for each of these elements, and you will get feedback on such privately via email. Since writing a figure review can (and should) be time consuming, we believe that it is only fair you get meaningful feedback for your submission. Please note that we may take on a second review staffer, if more suitable candidates emerge during the application process.
