The Final Fantasy Advent Children Play Arts Sephiroth action figure from Square-Enix takes on the task of representing one of the best villains in Final Fantasy series.  With a new version of Sephiroth based on the FF7 game scheduled to be released soon, fans might be in doubt on which one to take. So let´s cover the movie version and try to add some light to this question.

All the trademark details of the character are well covered. These details include the long grey hair, the incredibly long sword Masamune, and Sephiroth’s black coat.  The coat is made of soft vinyl, giving a more realistic feel to the figure.   The flexible nature of the coat also prevents restraint on many possible positions allowed by the over 20 points of articulation of the action figure.

Included in the package is a set of four different hands [pic 2] that can be easily exchanged to add multiple looks and impressions to the figure. Also included is a stand [pic 03], which is necessary for this figure, since the articulations on Sephiroth’s ankles [píc 04] make the action figure a little unstable.

One big concern of many Final Fantasy fans on the Play Arts series of figures have been the quality of the faces.  Fans often get the impression that there is not enough effort put into recreating the faces accurately, especially for FF X figures.  We feel that some effort was made on this figure to preserve the confidence and menacing air of this character [pic 05].

Final Fantasy Advent Children Play Arts Sephiroth action figure from Square-Enix is a nice, cheap and fun option to fans of the series, the movie or action figures collectors.  We hope to see the same quality on future releases.
