Having owned quite a few Figma action figures from Max Factory, I thought I've seen everything the manufacturer could come up with for parts and accessories to their popular product line.  Luckily for Saber fans, I was wrong.  You see, Max Factory came up with a nifty "trick" for the big 5-0, yes number fifty, in their Figma action figure series.  Included in Fate/Stay Night Saber Casual Wear Vers. Figma Action Figure is a one piece block of legs and lower torso (pic 2), to enable the collector to place Saber in an eating-rice pose (pic 1).  To me, that's the ultimate casual Saber pose: eating rice in a folded legs position (pic 3).

The sculptor, Masaki Apsy, deserves credit for this ingenious stroke.  Normally, it's impossible for the figma body to fold the thighs and lower legs on top of one another.  The leg pieces are too solid to create that kind of a sitting pose.  But if you're dead set on having a properly seated Saber pose, and you can't bend the legs to do so, the logical thing to do next is to create a special piece just to recreate this pose.  And Max Factory equally deserves credit for conforming to the sculptor's vision, and spend a little more money to turn vision into reality.

Another excellent casual Saber pose is having her hold a fencing bamboo sword (pic 4, pic 5), which Saber does during down time to train Shirou in the art of the sword in the anime show.

At a MSRP of $34.99, this release is a bargain considering that the manufacturer includes 3 additional sets of hands, two faces (calm and angry), a plastic stand, and a bag to hold all the accessories (pic 6).

The Fate/Stay Night Casual Saber Ver. Figma Action Figure from Max Factory is worthy of the fiftieth release in this excellent product line.  Hardcore Saber fans must simply have this figure in their collection!
