There are times in life when you sit and wonder what it would be like if you had that certain something.  Something that would remind you of the fun and make you like what you saw.  This is the case with Etna from the video game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.  I was always wanting a figure of her to see all the time, and when I saw that wish come true, I just had to preorder it!

And now I have it. Well, what's it like? Was the hype worth it? If you ask me, the fact this figure was held back due to mass preorders, and then sold out and now restocking this month, it was!

First, let's start with her overall look (Pic 1). Here you can see how small that suit is she's wearing, but that's what she looks like. She's not a little girl - check out her wings, tail and ears: she's a demon! The parts fit is excellent, as she comes with separated wings (Pic 2, Pic 3), tail and base (Pic 7). The wings fit in that cut perfectly, but see this tail (Pic 6)? It was murder for me, and I needed to cut it back to fit, but that's no problem.

The overall quailty of the parts and the weight and stability of Etna is superb. I was very pleased with the way she sits so effortlessly on that base, and she never is in dnager of falling, unless you smack her over! The locked leg approach of sculptor Bubba and the way she leans forward with her hips and then back with her shoulders gives our little demon no problem with stability, which is very nice!

Details? Check out these shoes (Pic 4), the rings on her wrists (Pic 5, Pic 6), and the little earrings she wears (Pic 5) for proof of wonderful designs and details of such a cute figure. Painting is awesome as well, with reflective metallic paint on her leggings and gloves for a shiny effect. Lastly, she sits on that apt design of brimstone for a base (Pic 7), fit for a demon from the Netherworld!

In conclusion, for those of you who like to have stable, well designed and sculpted figures in your collection, you would be sure to enjoy this little demon, who shall place a spell on you!
